Seen here with Mohan, Mike has been on a relentless quest to understand the meaning of the Universe since his own near death out of body experiences after a serious accident in 1966. Mike has a background in executive management, the health industry and as a business owner. He was also a former Director of Education for the NSW Ambulance Service. A member of the Services medical advisory committee and has been a member of select government committees of inquiry. Mike has a particular interest in the metaphysical causation and treatment of disease, especially cancer. Apart from his clinical studies in conventional medicine, Mike has studied with Shaman Healers around the world. He is the author of When Cancer Strikes and Reiki and Cancer and co-author with Mary Shaw of For the Love of Reiki and Isis Seichim. He has been interviewed on talk back radio and is the author of numerous magazine and newspaper articles.
Mike's research over the past thirty years has led him to a greater understanding of the power of the mind in both the treatment and CAUSATION of disease. Of equal importance it has also led him to understand the part the mind plays in getting us from where we are to where we want to be.
About Reiki and Cancer
As you are no doubt aware there are two aspects to consider in the treatment of cancer or any other disease for that matter.
The first aspect is the actual physical manifestation of the disease i.e. signs and symptoms. In the case of cancer, treatment usually involves either/or a combination of Surgery, Chemotherapy or Radiation Therapy. The adverse effects of this approach to treatment of cancer are well documented. It is also well known amongst Reiki practitioners that Reiki tends to nullify many of the side effects associated with conventional therapy.
There is however another approach to the treatment of cancer which is fast gathering interest, known as SPDT. Administered under the direct supervision of doctors or Specialist Oncologists, SPDT shows great success without the horrible side effects. SPDT is discussed in my ebook REIKI AND CANCER which is available on this page. SPDT is also discussed in my seminar for Reiki Masters (see this page) as well as other important issues pertaining to the immune system.
However as most of you know, regardless of which conventional approach is used, this only deals with half the problem or to be more accurate the physical aspects of the problem.
The second aspect of the problem or metaphysical aspect relates to the actual cause. Unless we deal with the cause then we are not dealing effectively with the cancer and therefore it may return.
Many scientists in the West are now beginning to accept that emotions, as in unresolved emotional/biological conflict, play a major role in the causation of disease. Eastern and Oriental philosophy has taught this for thousands of years as those of you involved in metaphysics will be aware. The main focus then of this seminar will be on the role of Reiki in dealing with the metaphysical causation of cancer and the power of the mind to influence the healing process and how Reiki fits in.
I have been a Reiki practitioner for almost 25 years and a Reiki Master teacher for almost 20 years. Along the way I have utilised, NLP, Hypnotherapy and EFT with success. I have no criticism of any of these modalities and I regard all of them as valuable tools in helping people. Reiki is my first choice though, based on my own experience and the testimony of other Reiki practitioners world wide. As a self help tool Reiki is the easiest to learn and to self administer.
I am sure that many of you will have had success in treating cancer with Reiki. What is being offered here though is a new technique using Reiki to heal at an interdimensional level and perhaps to better understand the thought process required. Compared to other methods and even the natural process of Reiki to resolve past issues this new technique is a gentle non- confrontational way to enhance the total healing process.
