"Mike, Mary’s husband, has been through and has seen many life and death experiences. Today, as I know, Mike is a great Mentor in Shaman practices, a true meditator and his spiritual awareness is phenomenal. Mike equates life experiences to the animal kingdom when teaching us to meditate. He likens meditation to “just being” like a cat, sitting and just being, to be at one with oneself when surrounded by Bedlam. On a recent trip to India, amongst the stench, the mayhem and the throngs of people, I observed a cow sitting in the middle of a small water pool in a roadway, just being there – nowhere else but there, totally oblivious to his surroundings as we do when we meditate. "Mike and Mary Shaw have shared my life journey for over the past 14 years. During this time they have become good friends and wonderful mentors. Mary is my life coach. I first met Mary at a reading she gave me on the recommendation of a friend. I then met them both at a Reiki seminar for Reiki II. I was immediately drawn to Mary, as she immediately saw my distress. I was a woman of 31 years, recently separated with a 4 year old son and a 6 year old daughter.
